Can you spare 1 hour a week to fill a volunteer vacancy?

As the new volunteer coordinator for the club. I am recruiting for several volunteer roles from within and outside of the club. The positions will be a great opportunity for some to use their current strengths and for others to learn new skills for both personal and professional development. In many cases a volunteer role can be classed as part of your Continual Professional Development (CPD) and is supported by many employers under their corporate social responsibility to enable employee volunteering.

There are positions in all areas of the club from general administration, catering and marketing through to developing additional coaches and referees.

Marketing - Fundraising Coordinator, 300 club lottery promotions staff, corporate sponsorship, events staff, statutory fundraising - lottery etc

Catering - Catering Officer and catering assistants - training to be arranged i.e. food hygiene

Recruitment - volunteer coordinators (assistants), school liaison

I can send anyone interested volunteer role descriptions and volunteer packs.

I have also located grants of up to £10,000 are available for organisations that can provide NEW volunteering opportunities for 16-25 year olds. Volunteering opportunities must be delivered within England, by May 2010. (ANY IDEAS)
